Ovation Welcomes New CEO

Ovation Leadership Update

We are excited to announce the expansion of our executive team with Curt Medeiros as Chief Executive Officer of Ovation. Barry Wark, the founding CEO of Ovation, will move into a new role as Chief Strategy Officer.

Medeiros brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the healthcare market. This includes almost ten years at Optum, a leading information and technology-enabled health services business that is part of UnitedHealth Group. At Optum, he served as President of several business units, focused on driving growth and meeting the analytical needs of external payers, providers, and life science companies. Most recently, Medeiros served as President and COO of publicly traded Ontrak Inc., a leading AI-powered and telehealth-enabled healthcare company.

“Ovation has been an exciting company to watch in the healthcare software market. Their ability to create products serving both laboratories and Clinicogenomic researchers, positions them as innovators to partner with in the advancement of precision medicine. I am honored to join Ovation on their mission to contribute to life-changing research” – Curt M. CEO, Ovation

Having led the company from its founding in 2017 until today, Wark decided to transition to a strategy-focused role and bring on a chief executive with deep expertise in scaling a healthcare business. “I’m grateful to the amazing team at Ovation and so happy with what we’ve accomplished to create the foundation for a world-class business. I’m excited to take on this new role where I will focus my energy on driving innovation and alignment in our laboratory and clinicogenomics businesses,” said Barry Wark. “With his leadership experience, vast market knowledge, and commitment to our shared vision, I’m confident that Curt is the best person to lead the company as CEO into the exciting future ahead of us.”

These leadership changes allow Ovation to focus on expanding our lab informatics solutions while advancing the Ovation Research Network program.
